07/22/2008 "The paint...it won't come off!!" I don't want to make this a home improvement blog but it's the most interesting thing I got going on in my life at the moment. Scott and I tried to finish painting the master bedroom today...we just needed to paint the ceiling. Unfortunately the sun went down before we got a chance to finish (we started at 6:30 PM). Stupid work! The master bedroom color was as tacky and tasteless as everything else in that house. Basically they painted one wall pink with sponged splotches of orange and brown and the rest was a really dull white that eventually turned yellow with age it seemed. Scott agreed early on to let me choose the colors for this place. I've read that blue is a peaceful color to gaze at before going to bed. Also since we only have one window in the master bedroom, we went with a light blue color since we didn't have too much natural light to go with a darker tone. For the ceiling (as per Kathy's advice) we went one shade lighter than the light blue we had so it was an even lighter blue which would fool the eyes and make our vaulted ceiling look even higher. Sounds like I'm pulling it out of my ass but its true =P The upstairs carpet is an uglyyyy brown. We are definitely getting a nice beige carpet (the carpet is super old, it was most likely the original carpet that came with the place). I tagged it before we painted over it! muahaha That is one uglyass pink paint they did. *Shudder* I will post pictures up when we are fully done. I am already considering painting over the moulding and doors in the bedroom with a nice cream color. One crisis at a time right?
